Located on the Murray River's northern bank in Wiradjuri Country, 259 kilometres northeast of Melbourne and approximately 460 kilometres southwest of Sydney, Albury is part of the twin city of Albury-Wodonga, situated on opposite sides of the Victoria–New South Wales border.
