Kulkalgau Ya (dialect)
One of the four dialects of Kala Lagaw Ya listed at the Torres Strait Traditional Languages Centre, Kulkalgau Ya was spoken in Torres Strait's Central Islands: Aurid (Aureed), Damut (Dalrymple), Iama (Yam or Turtle-backed), Masig (Yorke), Mauar (Rennel), Naghir (Mt Earnest), Poruma (Coconut) and Warraber (Sue). It is listed there as Critically Endangered.
