What Mob Is That?

Atjinuri

Although they do not appear on the AIATSIS Map of Indigenous Australia under that name, Norman Tindale's Aboriginal Tribes of Australia assigns the Atjinuri (alternatively Adjinadi, Itinadjana, Itinadyana, Itinady, Nedgulada, Imatjana, and possibly Ulwawadjana or Ulwadjana) around 1800 square kilometres on the upper Ducie River, extending south to the Batavia River's upper reaches. Tindale suggests that the group recorded by Ursula McConnel as the Ulwauwutjana or Ebawudjena was probably part of this grouping.

AIATSIS Austlang pages suggest that the Itinadyana (Y17) was a group speaking a dialect of Uradhi, and placed McConnel's Ulwauwutjana or Ebawudjena (Y18) on the headwaters of the Macmillan River, inland from Temple Bay, south-west of Shelburne Bay, in the area assigned to the Wuthathi by the AIATSIS Map of Indigenous Australia.
