Awngthim (language)
Awngthim is an extinct language formerly spoken by the Winduwinda people around Weipa. Although the name is not a synonym for Anguthimri, their similarity often leads to confusion. Kenneth Hale's Classification of Northern Pama Languages treats Awngthim as a cover term for Ntrwa'ngayth/Ntrwa'a, Thyanhngayth/Thyanh, and Mamngayth/Mam dialects. The speakers of Awngthim were located east of the Anguthimri, on the northern side of the Mission River.
