Northern Peninsula Area Region
The Northern Peninsula Area Region was created in March 2008 during a period of statewide local government reform from five previous entities on Anggamuthi, Atambaya, Wuthathi, Yadaigana, and Gudang country. It covers 1,052 square kilometres on Cape York Peninsula's northwestern coast and includes the following settlements:
