Crab Island
Located off Cape York Peninsula's northwest tip, west of Mutee Head and Seisa in the Endeavour Strait, the 6.5-kilometre long 280-hectare Crab Island (Uradhi: Moent), about 1.4 kilometres from the mainland, is the flatback turtle's most significant breeding ground with occasional nesting visits by other turtle species. The traditional owners are the Apukwi clan of the Anggamudi.
