Koko-Bera
By Norman Tindale's reckoning, the Koko-Bera (a.k.a. Kokopera, Kukaberra, Kungkara, Konanin (used by neighbouring tribes), Goonanin, Gunani, Gunanni, Goonamin, Goonamon, Koko papung, Kokopapun) ranged over around 2,300 square kilometres of territory on Cape York Peninsula's west around the mouth of the Nassau River with a northern boundary at the Mitchell River, and south to Inkerman on the northern side of the Staaten River. They spoke Gugubera (a.k.a. Koko Pera or Kok-Kaper), a Paman language with four dialects:
- Koko Bera (Kok Kaber)
- Kok Peponk (Koko Babangk)
- Kok Wap
- Koko Beberam
