Yaamba
Located on Darumbal country on the Bruce Highway within the Livingstone Shire's boundaries 65 kilometres north-northwest of Rockhampton, Yaamba takes its name from the pastoral run Peter Fitzallan MacDonald took up in the 1860s. It is believed to be a Darumbal word meaning main camping ground.
