Origins, Indigenes, Antecedents

These titles describe the human and physical environments the first travellers encountered when they arrived in the North, recount the processes that brought them here, and deliver the back story to the project's other strands.

Origins explores the geological processes that shaped the landscape and the elements that formed the rest of the environment.

Indigenes explores the biological environment the First Peoples encountered, their impact on it and the human landscape that the earliest foreign travellers encountered.

Antecedents sets out to provide the historical background to narratives presented through the rest of the site.
