A Teenager's Guide to Townsville in the Sixties

I turned twelve shortly after my family settled in the wilds of Aitkenvale.

When we relocated to the periphery of Pimlico I was well and truly in my teens.

I may not have been a typical sixties teenager, but such an archetypical animal probably never existed.

I saw my share of movies at the Winter Garden, including A Hard Day's Night, Help and (possibly) Woodstock. There was also the odd musical performance, including a Daddy Cool concert, though I was safely out of my teenage years in 1974.
